Sadie: I don’t think my laptop would last if I sat and typed out every. single. one of my favorite books, so I’ll pick a few…The Princess Bride, Alice in Wonderland, Interview with the Vampire, Any sort of mysteries (Sherlock got me into those as a child), The Goosebumps series, Anything by Stephen King, Sense and Sensibility, The Age of Innocence…I could literally go on and on and list all 500+ titles sitting on my shelves.
😀 Which Goosebumps books are your favorites? I was too scared to read em when I was younger, but now I’m big and not scareda anything and I wanna get some from the library.
Sadie: LOL, Oh boy, you have no idea what you’ve just started…
My parents bought me the first 3 (Welcome to Dead House, Stay Out of the Basement, Monster Blood) when I was a tiny thing, and I ate them up. Those are always going to hold a special place in my heart.
Night of the Living Dummy, parts 1 (book 7), 2 (book 31), and 3 (book 40) are my second favorite running installment, because I had such a fascination with seemingly innocents things (i.e, dolls and dummies) being cursed or haunted, and those had some genuinely creepy moments. They were also made into episodes of the show, and I would highly recommend NOT watching those at night, or by yourself.
Deep Trouble (book 19), The Scarecrow Walks at Midnight (book 20), and Ghost Beach (book 22) were some other stories that really stuck with me.
…And now I want to go reread them, too. 😛
