People are already comparing SHERLOCKED to Dashcon. Let me just say that I think it’s nothing like it.
First off: It’s only the first day. The con was only open for two hours so people could ger merch early and look at the con while it’s slightly less busy. Yes there’s not a lot to see and most of the con is overpriced merch, but I like the displays and the main attractions are supposed to be the talks, photoshoots, panels etc. and that’s not until tomorrow.
Secondly: Stop saying: ‘People paid £2995 for this’. I bought a weekend ticket for about £45 and I got to see the same stuff. The packages are OPTIONS. The packages add photoshoots and other things not available with only a weekend ticket. The packages are NOT about the displays. You can make the con experience as cheap as you want or splash out and treat yourself. If you want to know what the ones who paid £2995 got, ask them.
In short: let’s wait and see how it turns out. Let’s NOT jump to conclusions the day the con starts.

mo:  I wonder how many people did buy tickets?  Surely tomorrow the space will be packed?
