#2–Oh gosh, the very first fanfic scene I ever wrote? Man, that was way back, but it was…and you’re going to cackle heartily (or roll your eyes, possibly both)…a story for The Great Mouse Detective when I was six or seven. 😛
#4–Favorite line of narration, ever?! Good grief, that’s even more difficult to pick, because I tend to fluctuate between being moderately proud of what I write, to being so mortified that I have to shut down my laptop and walk away to keep from deleting everything. I can’t pick; I literally can’t. Sorry, anon.
#5–Another tough one. There were plenty of scenes in my Little Sherlock verse that were hard to write, like in ‘Study in Spoiled’, where John walks away, and in ‘Molly’s Turn’, when John’s attention is unfairly diverted. But I think the hardest scene I ever wrote was in an old ‘Interview with the Vampire’ fanfic from way-back-when. Long story short: Louis was Little, Lestat tried (”tried” being the operative word) to be the father figure he needed, and Louis eventually having to recognize that, as much as he wanted Les. to step up and be ‘Papa’, it just wasn’t in his nature…so, Louis leaves, after writing a heart-wrenching letter to Les. telling him that, even though Les. couldn’t be what he needed, Louis still loved him, he always would, and they might find each other again in the next century.
Les. burned the letter without opening it.
Thank you for your ask!
