Embie headcanon 1001: Sherlock is completely placid in his headspace, he accepts and embraces being small. But Jawn is determined to not be a baby. He’d fuss and whinge and struggle. When he Finally falls into headspace, he falls hard.

Sadie: It usually takes a harsh scolding and a spanking to do it. Sherlock hates that; he doesn’t want Jawn/John to associate littlespace with always getting smacked, but he’s noticed that everything else (trying to give him a bottle or a dummy, telling him he needs a nap, referring to him as ‘little boy’, etc.) if he’s not already in his headspace only seems to make him fight it harder.
