Headcanon 1003: when John is Jawn, he loves letting Nana coddle him. He sucks up the attention like a tiny grumpy sponge. But he can find the same attention stifling when in his Big headspace. He’s reluctant to go to her for things he needs. Which he knows is silly. Cause while she certainly isn’t their housekeeper, she is the keeper of the house.

Sadie: It’s her coddling that makes it twice as easy to slip into little headspace…that’s why it can make him so surly. But she knows just how much push it takes to get his hard-headed little self to give, so she knows that once he reaches the shouting point, all it takes is one more slightly-disappointed sounding ‘Jawn…’ before he’s giving her puppy-eyes and telling her “Sorr’ee, Nana.”
