LOL, well of course Sherlock would look up to Greg. (We’re talking non-little universe here) Maybe not as a father figure per say, but definitely because Greg got him out of the drugs. Despite it being painful with the withdrawals, Lestrade was a source of safety and comfort. Though Sherlock enjoyed the drugs physically and somewhat mentally, he always had that pain and regret in the end. But he’s bored! He’s alone, got nothing productive to do w/ himself (1/2)

2/2 Cuz his genius mind can’t be fully entertained/involved in normal
things, not for long. So when Lestrade helps him, and starts getting him
on cases, Sherlock gets better both physically and mentally. He has
something to do with himself now! And though it’s not mentioned, I’d
like to think that Greg makes sure that Sherlock is eating and getting
water (“If you take care of your body, or transport as you call it,
you’ll perform better on cases and when you chase the criminals.”) 2/3

(“Once more, if you don’t eat, we’ll handle this case without you, even
if it takes longer.”) Despite Sherlock’s grumbling, he appreciates it
and works really hard to stay healthy and sometimes occasionally be
polite and nice to the crew and especially Lestrade just to get those
proud of you looks from him, the nods of acknowledging his good work, a
handshake, & compliments. Although Sherlock will never admit to it.
So yeah, he looks up 2 the DI, and happy he met the man who saved his
life 3/3

Sadie: lmao, I logged on to see three messages waiting in my inbox and two more in the instant messenger and nearly had a heart attack. There was a moment of “Oh, God, did I forget and post an opinion somewhere?!?!”, but this was a pleasant surprise to  be met with. 😛

Thank you very much, anon!
