Some tips about being a mommy

There’s times when I get asked “why are you a mommy?” Or “why do you like being a mommy?” The answer to both of those? Is because not being able to take care of someone else, and making sure that they’re doing as best as they can, I feel lost. I enjoy taking care of someone. I enjoy spoiling someone. I enjoy the nights where we have to stay up because you can sleep. I enjoy being there and being that one person that you rely on.

Some of the things I think being a good mommy entail are:

1. Asking how they’re doing every day

2. Making sure they’ve eaten

3. Making sure you reassure them that you love them beyond belief

4. Keeping them in little space because you know they need it

5. Taking care of the little things (ex. Singing them to sleep, letting them rant about how much homework they have)

6. If you live with them, making sure you make them little lunches and dinners

7. Set rules for them based on their needs and wants

8. Send them little pictures of you or things that you see that remind you of them

9. Send them little “I miss you” or “I’m thinking about you and I can’t wait to talk to you soon”

10. Ask them about what they want to do later on. Do they want to go see a movie? Do they want to cuddle? If to long distance what will you guys do when you meet? What type of stuffies are their favorites?

11. (Added by a friend) Making sure they get a good amount of sleep each night

If you guys need anymore tips let me know! I absolutely LOVE being a mommy, and I definitely take pride in it. I believe that not only is it something that is precious but that it’s something that’s worth waiting for and making sure you get everything right. Please if any other Little’s or mommys want to add in some things please do!!
