Sadie: Just a few of the random tidbits that Embie ( @squeakpigsrevenge ) and I toss out in between rp’s.

~John loves his sleep, whether he’s big or little. But, when he’s little, Jawn can sleep anywhere, anytime, or on top of anything. Sherlock, Greg, and Mycroft have all found him dozing in some of the most inconceivable places, including (but not limited to): under his bed, the bathtub, a kitchen cabinet, and (one panic-inducing evening) under an overturned wheelbarrow in Mycroft’s back garden.

~Much the opposite, Sherlock almost never naps. His naptime’s are called his “Quiet Time”, and usually spent ‘resting’–which consist of half hour periods where he has to stay in bed, the crib, or in someone’s lap with no phone or any other electronic distractions.

~There are only two reasons Sherlock will ever actually fall asleep during his Quiet Time: he’s either sick, or (much to his dismay) freshly spanked.

~When either (or both) of the boys are left with Greg, his favorite thing to do with them is take them outside and try to get them to tucker themselves out while playing. It’s a trick that works like a charm with Jawn, but Greg soon learned that there was a fine line with Sherlock: if they go back inside before he’s worn out, he becomes whingy and will spend the rest of the day begging to go back outside. If he’s worn out too much, though, he becomes overtired and miserable, and at least one major strop is guaranteed before he crashes.

~Out of all the places to fall asleep in, Jawn’s favorite is while straddling someone’s lap.

~Sherlock still has a minor fear of the dark and still can’t be left by himself in a room with the lights off, even with the dozen or so nightlights and light-up toys that have been bought for him for that very reason.

~Jawn is notoriously hard to wake up. It’s not uncommon for naptime to last an extra 15 or even 20 minutes for all of the sleepy cuddles it takes until he gets roused enough.

~Sherlock will flat-out refuse to go down for Quiet Time if he doesn’t have either Bumble (who mainly stays at the flat except for very special occasions) or his stuffed bunny Baxter (who lives at Mycroft’s). He’s often resorted to hiding them just to stave off Quiet Time for as long as possible.
