Hey Fab Bats! You know the drill. Every day is Halloween yadda yadda Ministry-said-so etc etc Al Jourgensen-did-something-weird-again and so forth and so on. Besides drunk punks, commercial Halloween is mostly made up of three things: Michael Myers, Merchandise and Munches. Two of those only come year round of which one got it’s head chopped off by Jamie Lee Curtis. That leaves us with the yums. As Halloween food is the best food, there is no reason why you can’t eat it year round. Now let’s quit yakin’ and cut to the crunch:
Sadie: I don’t think my laptop would last if I sat and typed out every. single. one of my favorite books, so I’ll pick a few…The Princess Bride, Alice in Wonderland, Interview with the Vampire, Any sort of mysteries (Sherlock got me into those as a child), The Goosebumps series, Anything by Stephen King, Sense and Sensibility, The Age of Innocence…I could literally go on and on and list all 500+ titles sitting on my shelves.
😀 Which Goosebumps books are your favorites? I was too scared to read em when I was younger, but now I’m big and not scareda anything and I wanna get some from the library.
Sadie: LOL, Oh boy, you have no idea what you’ve just started…
My parents bought me the first 3 (Welcome to Dead House, Stay Out of the Basement, Monster Blood)when I was a tiny thing, and I ate them up. Those are always going to hold a special place in my heart.
Night of the Living Dummy, parts 1 (book 7), 2 (book 31), and 3 (book 40) are my second favorite running installment, because I had such a fascination with seemingly innocents things (i.e, dolls and dummies) being cursed or haunted, and those had some genuinely creepy moments. They were also made into episodes of the show, and I would highly recommend NOT watching those at night, or by yourself.
Deep Trouble (book 19), The Scarecrow Walks at Midnight(book 20), and Ghost Beach(book 22) were some other stories that really stuck with me.
…And now I want to go reread them, too. 😛
Now I’m kinda embarrassed I was too scared to read them as a kid.
Maybe we should all read em together so we can have cuddles if it gets scary! … Not that I’ll need cuddles, ‘cause I’m not gonna get scared.
Peter’s bein’ a liar! *Sticks tongue out at Peter*
Am NOT! I’m NOT gonna get scared! I’m super brave! *sticks out tongue back* Jawn’s bein’ a meanie!
ARE TOO GONNA GET SCARED!
*sniff* *shoves Jawn* Am NOT! *stomping* AM NOT AM NOT!
*Starts crying* Sorry!
Sadie: Peter, no-no!…Pushing is not nice! *spanks the back of your hand* I know Jawn was teasing, but pushing our friends is not how we get them to stop!
*turns to Jawn* And it is not nice to tease someone about being afraid…everyone is scared of something, Jawn, and it’s not fair to make them embarrassed about it.
I think you two both need to apologize and hug each other.
